The campaign is all about turning the tables on volunteerism and showing that people with RA don’t want to be held back by their disease – rather they can and want to give back to their communities. I did a long (three week) fast when I began treatment, and now I do short fasting and elimination diets every few months. Sometimes they feel great, sometimes they are brutal. I thought you and your readers might be interested in the latest best thing I've used to help with stiffness from my RA - the ChiliPad. It's a mattress pad that lets you cool down (or heat up) your bed, any temperature between 46 and 118 degrees. At first I only used it days when the weather and my joints didn't agree, but then I began using it every night after I realized how much better I sleep - and that my symptoms are reduced the next day.LazySusanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10599311806263532104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3182763301481279224.post-66185503556578392862009-09-10T05:25:35.947-07:002009-09-10T05:25:35.947-07:00Thanks so much for the visit and for following. I have been reading so much about food intolerances and elimination diets for months, but I'm just now getting around to doing a serious elimination diet. I can't imagine doing this as a mother, it's hard enough having enough will power without the temptations of kid food and snacks! It sounds like we'll be doing this together-let's stay in touch! robinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3182763301481279224.post-35072611010549898322009-06-26T05:36:01.341-07:002009-06-26T05:36:01.341-07:00I was really surprised how much coffee affects me....I was really surprised how much coffee affects me. I stopped drinking it 4-5 years ago and now if I have a cup, I can feel it and know I have to stop. For my body, it is a toxin.

I am glad you are feeling less stiffness. That is a great sign. I am sure more of this good stuff is around the corner.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13076282329093508289noreply@blogger.com
